Mandela Day Commemoration: Promoting Agroecology Among Eswatini Youth

On July 18, 2024, PELUM Eswatini participated in an inspiring agroecology awareness and Promotion Campaign in celebration of Mandela Day. The event aimed to raise awareness about sustainable agriculture, climate-smart practices, and environmental stewardship, with a particular focus on engaging the youth. A total of 700 students from SAIM Christian High School participated, making it a lively and educational occasion.
Promoting Sustainable Practices Supported by UN agencies, the Eswatini Environment Authority, and local organizations, the event emphasized the importance of sustainable agricultural practices such as agroecology, agroforestry, and water conservation. These practices play a crucial role in combating climate change and ensuring food security.
